Aim and Scope: The EReD platform aims to create a safe, non-partisan space for thoughtful debate and discussion on educational issues in Bangladesh. It seeks to publish critical analyses and diverse opinions on challenges, opportunities, and policy matters across all levels of education, from pre-primary to tertiary. Articles will cover a broad spectrum of educational topics, including but not limited to curriculum development, teaching practices, assessment strategies, teacher development, educational leadership, policy reforms, funding, equity in education, the integration of technology in learning, and the impact of globalization on local education systems. Additional focus areas may include inclusive education, mental health in schools, the role of parents and communities in education, digital literacy, vocational training, lifelong learning, educational governance, the relationship between education and the workforce, early childhood education, the digital divide, and education for sustainability. The platform encourages contributors to not only highlight existing challenges but also propose practical solutions and recommendations for improvement across these diverse issues. EReD aims to engage educators, policymakers, and professionals in fostering informed, collaborative efforts to advance educational progress in Bangladesh.

Writing style: The preferred writing style is that of an op-ed or popular article, presenting clear arguments supported by evidence from credible sources, including research, openly accessible materials (where possible), such as newspapers, open-access academic journals, books, and other reliable references.

  1. Opinion Pieces: Thoughtful opinions backed by strong evidence and clear arguments.
  2. Analytical Articles: In-depth analysis of current issues or trends in education, supported by appropriate evidence.
  3. Explainers: Simplified discussions of complex educational topics or concepts, substantiated with suitable evidence.
  4. Fact-checks: Thorough examination and verification of claims made in the media or other outlets regarding educational matters.
  5. Series Articles: Over an extended period, providing in-depth analysis or varied perspectives on a specific issue, the series articles might address a problem in multiple parts.

Review Process: Draft submissions will undergo a standard editing and review process. The initial review will be conducted by the editorial panel to ensure that the content aligns with the platform’s scope and adheres to the website’s policy. If necessary, the article will be forwarded to an additional review panel for further assessment. The entire process, from submission to publication, may take up to three weeks.
